Our annual Charity Cricket Tournament took place on 15th July at Burton Court, Chelsea. It was a thrilling event and a fabulous day out for all those who attended. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and the cricket was, as always, very competitive. There were four teams in all, battling throughout the day, an exceptional barbecue and bar- and some wonderful Italian ice-cream to keep everyone fully entertained. The legendary English cricketers Allan Lamb and Chris Tremlett provided a special highlight when they were introduced and interviewed by Jeremy Thompson from Sky News – and answered some questions. The final was a close affair between the two winning teams clinching it by 1 run on the final ball!
Thank you to everyone that took part and of course to Allan, Chris and Jeremy- We look forward to the rematch next year.
As Part of The Thackeray Estate’s corporate responsibility we donate to charities each year. This year we donated sums to ‘Borne’ who work to understand the cause of premature birth and how to prevent them and to ‘Norwood’ who support children and families with learning disabilities.
