Fairfax House on St Mary Street was built in around 1844 and sits in the heart of Cardiff ’s major leisure offering.

Thackeray Group acquired the double fronted unit in August 2019 when the unit was subdivided and the majority of the upper parts in disrepair.

The vision for the asset from acquisition was always a flagship letting, this was enhanced when planning for a panoramic 4,000 sq ft roof terrace was granted in 2020. Covid-19 accelerated the business plan as both units became vacant.

We had numerous offers from a variety of F&B operators and signed a new 25 year lease with Flight Club at a record rent with no breaks. The lease completed in February 2022 and opened its doors in November as the company’s 10th venue in the UK and its largest outside of London.
